We received an email for style advise from one of the editors of DeLuxe, a new supplement on luxury lifestyle by dutch established newspaper NRC. Till our suprise we found Karin on the ‘Ask your Style question‘ page amongst the likes of John de Greef, Fashion Editor in Chief of Elsevier Magazine and Ivo Weyel, lifestyle journalist. Good company, proud to join the group.

The magazine is filled with dream away locations, great apps and exclusive fashion. We love the shoes and matching clutch with golden flowers by Claes Iversen. Imagine this set with a black leather legging and silk tunic top. Showstopper.

Our AbFab Pants for FW2010

Every season there is that one pair of pants that makes you wonder what in heaven you were wearing before…
We each found our favourite again. This seasons fashion-muze of Véronique is the JBrand-Houlihan-low-rise-skinny-cargo-pants. She wears it with her MiuMiu motorcycle boots for that sturdy look or dresses up with Chloé’s wedges.

Karin fell in love with the Vienna-pleated-pants-by-LaDress. A high quality black musthave in strech fabric with pleated front and tapered legs. Mix and match with a leather jacket or men’s shirt & Prada belt. She likes to dress it up with taupe Tod’s platform heels or dress down with her black leather AllStar sneakers.

Private Dinner @ ‘Confronting Time’ expo by BibiMichèle

Imagine this: large industrial space (The White Space Amsterdam) painted completely matt black for the occasion. In the middle a dining table for 20 guests, beautifully decorated. Surrounded by large installations of highly polished stainless steel heads. Disappearing en re-appearing from total blackness to partially lightened. Add inspirational people and great food, and you will understand that we arrived home filled with new energy.

Two artists, mother and daughter, Michèle Deiters and Bibi van der Velden showed the results of their unique collaboration. Giving us their visions and thoughts at every impressive immaculate sculpture. “Confronting Time” seeks to explore perspectives of time; time past, time eternal, time perceived, time frozen, time shared and so on, influenced by its inevitability and transience.

Porsche Dream Away…

We immediately get a Thelma & Louise feeling by watching these vintage posters.  Dreaming away behind the wheels of  our 356 Speedster.  All we need to do is firmly tie our vintage Hermès headscarves and put on matching Gucci sunglasses. Ready to go. One minor detail missing though. Time. Where can we buy that?

… that’s not the only detail missing: we don’t own a Porsche. Yet.

Pragmatic girls as we are, we might be better of with a 2010 Cayenne. Drag everything along. Our favourite is the Cayenne S Hybrid. In white.  A girl needs to dream.

We don’t know why, but we have a thing for animal prints. Or two. Maybe we were Mowgli’s in our previous life? Or need more therapy.
