Princess Maxima will be there to support this initiative, and to give the crowd of AFW-fashionista’s what they’re so desperately after: a splash of that dazzling princessness. Yes, it’s Kate, and this was at Paris’s Palais d’Iéna, where the fashion elite gathered for a private dinner and party celebrating the unveiling of artist Francesco Vezzoli’s retrospective. Italian fashion house Prada and architect Rem Koolhaas  opened a 24 hrs Museum during Paris Fashion Week. Partygoers like Diane Kruger, Emmanuelle Alt, and Carsten Höller were entertained by 16 years worth of Vezzoli’s irreverent work and a DJ set by none other than newlywed Kate Moss. And since this exhibition is set to run for a full 24 hours, it’s probably needless to say that it is not for the faint-hearted. O, Kate, will you ever learn?

Baby’s First @ Céline

Life, o life, o li-i-i-fe, o life, doo doot doot doo – yes, it’s British singer Des’ree who already sang it in 1998, and now it’s British fashion designer Phoebe Philo who is cancelling her Celine show this SS12 at Paris Fashion Week due to the exact same reason. The extremely populair designer is expecting her third child and has therefore decided to skip what was without any doubt going to be one of the most sought after shows in Paris. “The organization of a fashion show is extremely demanding,” says Marco Gobetti, president and managing director of the label. “We will focus on minimalizing.” For those who can feel their eyes well up after reading this, don’t panic: in March the do-no-wrong label will host an informal presentation for a small group of journalists of the Fall Winter 2012/2013 collection. Pfew.

Sometimes, all you have to do is sat back, relax and drool. That’s exactly what we did while watching the new Givenchy SS12 campaign starring Giselle Bundchen, Chris Moore, Simone Nobili and Ricardo Tisci muse MariaCarla Boscono. The campaign was shot at the beach in Barcelona by hot photographer duo Mert & Marcus, and my o my… Can someone bring us that beau-ti-ful soft pink blush suit? Or that amazingly sequined turqois look-at-me dress? Thank you.

CHANEL SS12 campaign

Never thought of CHANEL when doing the obligatory gymnastic exercise routine way back at school. Would have been so much more fun wearing one of those lightweight dresses or lace cardigans. Another amazing campaign, shot by the master himself, for the new SS12 collection. Both Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls look as if they stepped out of a classical black & white movie. Shot at Hotel du Cap in Cap d’ Antibes. Stunning. Ultimate Wishlist material.
