Another round of verdicts… Fashion verdicts, that is.
We’re in this week’s Fashion Jury of Dutch Grazia Magazine and it revolves around celeb ladies with bare legs. I almost typed bear legs, but that’s something totally different.
My favourite outfit is the Proenza Schouler miniskirt on Karolina Kurkova. Oh, and yes, I adore the green Marni dress on Diane Kruger. The black army booties she might keep, though. But looking at the pics again, most of all I envy the fact that they can wear bare legs and no coats in stead of the winter gear we’re still wearing in Amsterdam. Sun, please! [KB]

VOGUE 101 best online shops

Received a tweet yesterday evening: “do you know DV is in the Vogue NL best online shops list?” Uh, no. Tnx for the alert, @EsterPordon!
And what does a girl do these days after receiving such message on a Saturday night? Run of to the nearest train station kiosk to get herself a copy? I used to do that. But my IwantitandIwantitnow-hunger is easily stilled these days. *downloads Vogue issue on Ipad*

And here we are, in the Buy & Sell selection: “there is no better place to get your limited edition Chanel-, Hermès- or Vuitton bag”. You understand we have no comment. [KB]

Dutch Newspaper Het Parool thought this the perfect subject for their weekly Geld (= money) Supplement. They gave me the chance to elaborate on my favo subject. Clean out your closet, sell your former great finds and buy one great designer bag from the proceeds. Wear it with love for the season, sell it again (if you’re very carefull with your stuff, even for the same price) and go on the hunt for another pre-owned-with-love treasure. And be alert on popular classic pieces: Chanel f.i. bags increase in price twice a year… Be green the chic way. [KB]

Talking about fabulous February covers, how about the British Vogue february issue? Russian-born, German-raised cover girl Kati Nescher looks sophisticated and ready for spring. And what’s that on page 193? Oh, wait. A Chanel jacket once sold on our luxury marketplace…

Parool Amsterdam

Today we found ourselves in the Amsterdam newspaper Het Parool. Yildiz Celie reports on the all over acceptance of buying second hand luxury items. People no longer want to be the first wearing the latest editions, but are looking for a unique piece that will last.

Due to the economic crisis, more people check the back of their closet and sell their former great finds. We know all about it… Quality survives and can make another person happy. It is fun to see our philosophy buy one piece, sell one piece back in print. We can’t proof our point often enough: eco-chic recycling it is! [KB]
