Weekend Film: Mercedes-Benz, Karlie Kloss & a white horse

If we hear Mercedes, we think of Fashion Weeks. Oh… and cars ofcourse ;). We’re a long time fan of their online fashion magazine MB! by Mercedes-Benz. Stylish and trendspotting with inspiring visuals. We’ve just spotted their latest video.
This wintercold is perfect to cosy up under a warm cashmere blanket on the couch and watch this short film by Ryan McGinley for the new Mercedes CLA model, a car with a strong mind of it’s own. You’ll see.
Shot in a overwhelming deserted landscape in California, the CLA shares the screen with an unusual protagonist: a mysterious white horse. The car becomes jealous of model Karlie Kloss – dressed in Chloé white -  who is mesmerized by the white horse power. Will the car and the girl find each other in the end?  Watch and find out. [KB]

Go floral with love

Ever since fashion house Chloé launched their first Love fragrance in 2010, I’ve been ab-so-lu-te-ly hooked on it. I was captured immediately by the smell of it, duh, but the beautiful beige/white/gold colours and the fabulous seventies feel of the campaign starring Raquel Zimmerman didn’t hurt either. That blouse, those pants, that skin… Such grace. Want that.
Anyway, Chloé has just launched a new fragrance as part of the Love family, and this is a an Eau Florale. A bit briskier than the original scent. But to be honest, if it had been the exact same powdery scent as the first one, I’d probably still buy it. What can I say? I’m a sucker for love. [EH]

Chloé was founded in Paris in 1952 by Egyptian-born Gaby Aghion. Rejecting the stiff formality of the fashion of the day, Aghion created soft, body conscious clothes from fine fabrics. She called the collection “luxury prêt a porter”. In 1966 Karl Lagerfeld became Head Designer and under his direction Chloé has become one today’s most iconic fashion brands. In 1997, Stella Mc Cartney reinvented Chloé once more. She created a romantic yet streetwise mix of lingerie, tailoring and signature lowrider trousers that hit a nerve with young women around the world. It propelled the house to a new level of success. Nowadays, designer Hannah MacGibbon is responsible for the eternally feminine and flirtatious Chloé collections.
