It’s an auction, dahling
Besides winning one minute of free shopping in Level Shoe District, what else would make you really happy?
Ding, ding, ding, of course, being best friends with the Ab Fab girls. Well, now you can at least become physically closer to one of them, because Ab Fab actress Joanna Lumley is donating her Absolutely Fabulous wardrobe to a charity auction. Pieces worn on screen by her extravagant alter-ego Patsy will be sold to raise money for The Prince’s Trust.
“I’m giving up some of my greatest treasures and happiest memories”, Lumley said. “I love each item and each garment with a passion but I am also thrilled to think hat the proceeds will all go to benefit young people.”
So ladies, this is your chance to get your hands on Patsy’s pin-striped Dolce & Gabbana jacket, her Alexander McQueen vest or her signature zebra-print jacket and faux leather skirt by Joseph. Trademarks not going up for sale are the beehive, the cigarette and her wit, but saying ‘it’s amazing, sweetie dahlings’ ten times a day will compensate that completely. The sale will be held on Tuesday November 13rd. We need some Bolly. [EH]

FW12 Sneak Peek
– I know – we are still trying to get some summer vibes going on here, but on grey days like these you’d rather look ahead. And boy, is there something to look at. The new fall/winter 2012 campaigns from the Biggies, for example. Sit back and dream away with this sneak peek into your upcoming wardrobe.
On the Left: Daria Werbowy for Céline, shot by Juergen Teller. Strange colours, intriguing wardrobe.
In the Middle: Actress and style icon Chloë Sevigny for Miu Miu – again: she last posed for the brand’s spring 1996 campaign. This time around, hot photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot Chloë curled up in a chair drinking tea, wearing a quirky menswear-inspired ourtfit, real eye shadow and bright red lips.
On the Right: And the most beautiful campagn so far, that of Dolce & Gabbana, featuring Bianca Balti, Bianca Brandolini and Monica Bellucci, shot by Giampaolo Sgura. Good heavens, gotta love rich Italian mama mia feeling. Okay, maybe one more trip to Sicilia then before September starts… [EH]
