Prada writing contest

Do you ever dream about becoming a bestselling author? Do you look at the world from a unique angle? And are you able to put that unique look down in 4000 to 8000 words?
Well, than Prada’s new quest to discover new literary talent just might be your starting point.
Creative director Miuccia Prada – who with her Ph.D in political science happens to be no dumb girl either – is launching a writing contest, inspired by using prescription glasses as a metaphor. Aspiring writers are invited to upload their material – in their native language! – via the Prada website from today through to June 18, and winners will be revealed in September. While Prada now is responsible for ground-breaking clothes and beautiful handbags, they could very well become the first fashion label in the world to be at the root of someone’s literary career.
So get your pencils out, girls, and start working yourself into cultural fame. If E.L. James can do it, so can we. [EH]
