Not only did the largest Dior exhibition in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London recently opened, they can now also add a Dior high-tea café to their hotspot list. What can we expect? Exactly, a café completely inspired by the life and designs of Christian Dior with delicacies in Dior-theme.
The menu includes cookies inspired by the iconic "Bar" jacket and cakes inspired by the famous "Miss Dior" perfume. And if you want to go for the full experience, you can order the red velvet cake that looks like the legendary Lady Dior handbag from 1995.
More recent designs by the creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri can also be found in the café. For instance, you can order a vanilla cookie that looks like the well-known J'Adior pump. To top it off, the coffee is served with Dior latte art (duh!).
Mourad Khiat, The Berkely’s pastry chef, says: “It was important for me to respectfully emulate Monsieur Dior’s timeless and iconic fairy-tale gowns using ingredients that best celebrate these opulent and beautiful creations".
So if you're going to London (or planning to do so), make sure you stop at The Berkely Hotel! Every day the cafe is open from 13:00-17:30 and prices vary between 66 and 78 euros per person.
Enjoy (and don’t forget to take photo’s)!
