We are in love with Gucci’s Initial Customization

The Initial Customization
In January 2015, Alessandro Michele got appointed as the new creative director of Gucci. His new vision was a real boost for the brand and the direction of the brand changed drastically. Many other high fashion brands experienced financial losses in the last couple of years, because they lost the interest of their target audience. Gucci on the other hand, gained a lot of customers because of the new fresh ideas in combination with some vintage flair. Now, Gucci has come with another new initiative that we are super excited about: The Initial Customization.

Gucci’s Ophidia tote
Two weeks ago, the brand launched its #GucciDIY online service with which you can create a custom bag just the way you like it. The bag that is used for this special service is the Ophidia tote and is available for customization in the size large and maxi. Moreover, you are now able to customize the front as well as the back with your initials. While both bags are large, they weight barely anything! The totes feature the classic beige and ebony soft GG Supreme pattern and are accented with brown leather trim and the classic Web stripe. Inside the bag you can find a detachable pouch, which can be closed with a zipper.

Gucci

If you want a Gucci customized bag, you have more than 15 possible options in regards to the materials and colors. The options include 7 leather colors, 3 python colors, 5 croc colors and 1 felt with crystals. There is the possibility to put an initial on the front of the bag and on the back. Sadly, this is also the maximum number of initials that you are able to place on the bag.

63 Wooster street
Do you want a customized Gucci bag? Then you have to take into consideration that the delivery timing is from 5 up to 8 weeks. When you visit New York, don’t forgot to stop by at Gucci’s Wooster Space, which is located at 63 Wooster Street. The nearly 10,000 square feet Wooster space is inspired by the 70s and 80s SoHo neighborhoor which represented a freewheeling attitude to music, film, fashion and art etc. Here, you can design your customized Gucci bag by using a digital interactive tool and see it in real time through the newest technology.
