This year, the house of Chanel will launch the ultimate ode to its founder. After a hiatius of over 15 years, Chanel will bless us all with a new scent, named Gabrielle! The long awaited eau de toilette will be available in the boutique from June onwards, and will rollout further in the following months.
Eau de Gabrielle Chanel
The perfume is described as an “abstract floral,” by Christine Dagousset, global president of fragrance and beauty at Chanel. “This year will be unique because we are boosting at the same time fragrance and bags, which are the two most important categories in our business,” revealed Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel fashion, to WWD. “We believe it makes a lot of sense to highlight Gabrielle in 2017 because in each of our businesses we have a lot to say and also we want to seduce a new clientele.
The Gabrielle Bag
Both the scent and the handbag were designed for the younger and very modern Chanel-fan. The new it-bag was first revealed during the Spring/Summer 2017 show. Chanel's frontman Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by the rebellious characteristics of Gabrielle: her strength, sense of freedom en fearlessness. None other than Kirsten Stewart, Cara Delevigne, Caroline de Maigret and Pharrell Williams will feature in the new campaign.
