Believe it or not, the fashion world has picked the clutch bag as their newest IT-bag. This is mainly due to Daniel Lee, the new creative director of Bottega Veneta, who introduced the Pouch bag. The clutch bag is so popular, you can’t scroll through Instagram on any given day without seeing several versions of the bag.
The Pouch is an oversized clutch with carefully gathered leather forming into the seamless closure at the top. It's more spacious than a traditional clutch, and its simplicity makes it a classic investment piece. Lee also designed a version of the bag in Bottega Veneta's signature intrecciato weave. The first collection sold out almost immediately and there is already a waiting list to pre-order the new-season collection.
The soft camel version that we spotted on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (yes, we are talking about a big fan here!), is one of the hardest versions to get your hands on. Even Net-a-Porter and MyTheresa are completely sold out of the bag at the moment. For those with a little bit more patience, some sites, including Bottega Veneta's own website, have the option to pre-order a few select colors and sizes available to ship now.
