Hip and happening is not what necessarily comes to mind when I think about my hometown Den Haag. But this is all about to change: there’s a new restaurant in town that is very worthy of a visit: Mama Kelly.
The restaurant is located in the industrial part of the city, that is surrounded by heaps of young companies. Mama Kelly ased in an old factory, which has been transformed to interior heaven. And provides that laid back Meatpacking district-feeling.
The terrace provides a perfect view of the canals and if you desire to arrive by boat: they have their own pier. Obviously the look of the restaurant is not the only reason why you should visit The menu is just the way I like it. Great bread, ditto olive oil and price winning French fries. The range of starters and desserts is limited, but they're all equally delicious. For the main course you can either pick chicken of lobster, all served in different styles. Simple but perfect.
