When we think about timeless and dreamy shoes at the Designer-Vintage headquarters, we think about Jimmy Choo. The glitzy Choo's are one of the most comfortable heels out there, and well worthy of a little fashion class.

Choo was born in Penang, Malaysia, into a family of shoemakers. Jimmy Choo learned the craftmanship from his beloved father, who taught him everything about different materials and the various shapes of the feet. After years and years of observation Choo decided to continue his studies in Londen. And he never left! Choo graduated from Cordwainers Technical College in Hackney (now part of the London College of Fashion) in 1983 and opened his own shoe business in 1986, in an old hospital building. That is when the magic started to happen.

Jimmy's designs were received very well in the high fashion circles. The designer got great review, some from non other than Vogue magazine. After only two years his success resulted in an eight-page spread in Vogue. The fashion magazine really helpen the young designer in his climb to the top and soon he had Princess Diana wearing his designs. Jimmy needed to expand his business and partnered up with various Italian factories.

The roots of the brand still lie in a small shop in London. And it mantains the base where Choo designs his couture line, the most impressive pieces from the brand.

Besides being gorgeous, Jimmy Coo's are renowned for their comfort. If you're looking for heels that don't kill your feet during a long night of the dancing, than this is your go-to brand.
